Merry Christmas!

We wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We hope you have all had a great year and continue to stay healthy!

This year we had no big life events, but a lot of travel with friends and family! We were able to visit the Azores many times with different friends, which is always a lot of fun and we enjoy showing the island to friends! Kate and her friends from college even joined us there for their spring break!  This summer we enjoyed seeing some of the Gauvey-Kerns and my cousin Kerry and her family in New Hampshire. Then in September, Brian and Anne took a big trip with our good friends Amy and Anders to Switzerland where we hiked the alps, enjoyed hot springs and drove all around with stops in Annecy, France and Aosta, Italy!  In November, Gracie, Hannah and Anne went on another big trip – first we met Joe in Budapest, then visited Luxembourg and Belgium, and then went to see Joe in London.  For Thanksgiving, our whole family plus Anne’s dad Al went to Marrakech, Morocco for 5 days.  That was really something to see – we stayed in a beautiful Riad and enjoyed seeing the sites and shopping in the markets!

Grace and Scooty (and their dog Ruby) continue to live in Nashua, NH, about 20 minutes from our house, so it is nice that they are close by. In January, Gracie left her job at PWC and starting working at Spectrum Marketing!  Brian loves a chance to see Gracie every day, and she is doing a great job!  Scooty continues to work at TF Moran and this summer finished his MBA!

Hannah is living in Boston and works for a non-profit called Women’s Money Matters. She is enjoying it very much and recently received a promotion!  She is able to come work from our house most Thursdays so she can join us for family dinner.  She is still enjoying living in Boston, she stays very busy exploring all the city has to offer and entertaining often.

Joe is 21 and a senior at Fordham University in the Bronx, hard to believe he will graduate in the spring! Over the summer, he had an internship with Fidelity Investments in Massachusetts and they offered him a job after graduation! This fall, he decided to leave the football team at Fordham so he could study abroad in London.  He has been taking some amazing trips almost every weekend- he had no classes on Friday or Monday, so that allowed him to take some long weekends!  Joe being in London is what prompted our family vacation over Thanksgiving to Marrakech.

Kate is 19 and continues at Georgetown University in DC.  She has decided to double major in Accounting and Finance, and in the spring, she joined the Accounting Society at Georgetown.  This year she is the sophomore vice president of the Accounting Society and continues to volunteer with Best Buddies at Georgetown. Over the summer she had an internship at Spectrum so she could learn some accounting and also she went on the road selling ads!  She had a lot of fun meeting with business owners. This fall she also accepted an internship with EY for the summer of 2027 in Boston!

Anne continues to work for Spectrum and for InspectCheck, helps with Fueled by Kids, and she continues in the bell choir at church. This fall, Anne also joined a Mahjong group and has enjoyed learning the game with a fun group of women! Brian continues to be busy at Spectrum, but has been focusing more time recently on real estate, and enjoys farming whenever he can!  This year we had 3 baby cows and 6 lambs. Our garden producedlike crazy this summer and we raised turkeys for Thanksgiving, with some carnage (as Brian likes to say) by some fox this year.

We look forward to having the kids home soon for Christmas!

We hope you enjoy a chance to see some of our pictures and we look forward to hearing from or seeing you this coming year.
God Bless and have a great Christmas! - Anne, Brian, Gracie, Hannah, Joe, and Kate
