Merry Christmas!

We want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We hope you have all had a great year and continue to stay healthy!

This has been a very busy year – we rang in the new year with all getting Covid, took a quick trip to the Bahamas in February, and had 2 graduations in the spring (Gracie from the University of Notre Dame and Joe from Bedford High School)!  After Gracie’s graduation, Grace and Hannah took a trip together to Amsterdam and Bordeaux, you’ll see a few pictures from that trip.  Also, sadly our Giant Schnauzer Bruce passed away in January this year.

Gracie is 23 now and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in the spring.  She was asked to speak at her graduation ceremony which was very exciting and she did a fabulous job!  We all had a great weekend in South Bend celebrating with Gracie’s friends.  She has now moved back to New Hampshire and just bought a house with her boyfriend Jonathan (and their dog Ruby) in Nashua, NH which is about 20 minutes from us.  She is working for PwC in Boston doing consulting!

Hannah is 21 now and a junior at Boston College.  She is living off-campus this year which has been very fun for her and she and her roommates take turns cooking dinner each night!  She is involved in a lot of clubs and volunteering at BC, including greeting the admissions office.  She will be heading to Barcelona for her spring semester and we hope to visit her there.

Joe is now 18 and a freshman at Fordham University in the Bronx, where he is on the football team. In the spring he played CYO basketball, where his team won the regionals and he won MVP of the final game.  He also played lacrosse for his school team where he was captain.  In August, we all drove down to bring Joe to college (he had to go early for football). We have been to visit a few times and drove by Aunt Joan’s old house, and my parents’ apartment in Yonkers.  It was funny to see how things have changed.  Joe is enjoying both school and football, especially all the fun gear he gets for being on the team!  He is doing very well in his classes and has already found an apartment to live in next year off campus!

Kate is 16 and a junior in high school this year.  The big news is that Kate got her license in March!  Kate ran track last spring and this fall was a starter on the varsity soccer team for her school, which won the state championship this year!  That was very exciting and was chosen as captain for the next year.  Now that school soccer is over, her club team starts up and they have a tournament in Florida in January which should be fun.  Kate also continues to babysit which she enjoys very much, and she is teaching a kindergarten CCD class for our church.  She stays busy with Fueled by Kids, being general manager this year.

Anne continues to work for Spectrum and for InspectCheck and Brian continues to be busy at work and enjoys farming whenever he can!  We had three baby cows in the spring! The pig we kept from last year is getting HUGE, and we had a number of lambs and pigs this year.  We also had a large number of turkeys but lost some due to a very large hawk that was not easily deterred!

We hope you enjoy a chance to see some of our pictures and we look forward to hearing from or seeing you this coming year.

God Bless and have a great Christmas! – Anne, Brian, Gracie, Hannah, Joe, and Kate
